What I Eat In A Day as a Food Blogger! (video included!)

I am SO excited to start a new series with you all: What I Eat In A Day As A Food Blogger. Over the coming months, I’ll do occasional videos to share my daily life with you all, focused around the food I eat. And guess what? I’m vlogging it all!

I’m kickstarting this series with one of my favorite partners, Blue Diamond. We’ve been working closely together the last few months on a combination of food and lifestyle posts (like these unreal No Bake Blueberry Almond Breakfast Bars and this post on Healthy Road Trip Snacks). We would absolutely love to get your feedback on our partnership thus far. If you would be so kind as to fill out this survey (it will take 2 minutes!), we’d both greatly appreciate it, and it will help to make things even better in the future. And bonus: if you take the survey and let me know in the comments, you’ll be automatically entered to win a $100 visa gift card! (Survey ends at Sunday, Sept 10 at midnight. Open only to residents of USA).

Thank you in advance, friends! Love you. And now, drumroll please…. Here’s What I Eat In A Day As A Food Blogger!

Breakfast

Breakfast is my favorite. I especially love breakfasts with a combo of protein and slow-release carbs. Recently I’ve been eating a delicious homemade muesli made with oatmeal, Blue Diamond’s whole natural almonds, and golden raisins.

Lunch

I typically have the same lunch every day. I’ve been eating turkey sandwiches for lunch since I was a little kid– just ask my mom! My current turkey sandwich includes an in-house roasted rosemary garlic turkey with low fat canola mayo, dijon mustard, heirloom tomatoes, avocados, and cilantro on pumpernickel. I love eating it with a glass of skim milk or almondmilk and fruit.

Afternoon Snack

Since I’m typically shooting all afternoon, I usually taste test baked goods as I work. This day I had a few bites of this banana cake right after lunch, and around 3pm ate an rX bar, which kept me feeling satisfied until dinnertime.

Dinner

For dinner, Alex brought home a thin crust pizza. Since the slices were huge, I ate one, then snacked a bit on more cheese and some veggies!

Evening Snack

Earlier in the day I had made the most amazing Marcona-style almonds using Blue Diamond’s whole natural almonds. They ended up as part of a gorgeous cheeseboard (which has since been posted on the site!) that I took to an evening meeting with girlfriends. Since I had already eaten a lot of cheese for dinner, I snacked on a few slices of pear and a raw cookie bite.

Overall, I’d say this day was pretty consistent with what I typically eat, though pizza and then more cheese was a bit indulgent for me. Usually I’ll have a more veggie-based dinner. Welp, I’ll just have to do more of these very, very soon!

  1. Wow, I really enjoyed reading about your daily food routine as a food blogger! Your breakfast with homemade muesli sounds delicious, and I appreciate your focus on a balance of protein and slow-release carbs. It’s interesting to see how you incorporate Blue Diamond almonds into your meals and snacks. One suggestion I have is to consider adding more plant-based options to your daily meals. Plant-based diets have been gaining popularity due to their health and environmental benefits. Including more vegetables, legumes, and plant-based proteins could provide a fresh perspective and inspire your readers to explore new flavors and textures. Keep up the great work!

  2. I filled out the survey!
Does blue diamond have an organic option? Do they sell in bulk? these are my preference for purchasing most any kind of nut or seed or dry fruit, baking supplies, beans, grains, all the things. I love shopping in bulk because I can get as much or as little as I need. Because nuts do go bad and I have a small pantry and small appetite!
Your video was so cute. It’s like we hung out for a minute or two. That coffee shop looks so cool. I have a visit to Detroit on my bucket list!
I answered no to sharing any of your posts, but I have made a lot of your recipes and I think I did share that…oops!
