Ingredients

Units

For the mocha toffee crunch

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, cold, cut into chunks

For the donuts

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons espresso powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup plain yogurt (any will do)
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the chocolate ganache

  • 4 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (see instructions)

For the coffee icing

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon coffee (can also sub 1 T heavy cream + 1/2 teaspoon espresso powder)
