Nutella French Toast

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup light cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 thick slices brioche or other soft bread
  • 1/4 cup nutella
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced thinly


  1. Heat large skillet or griddle over medium low heat with 2 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Spread half of nutella onto a slice of bread, leaving a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch border. Top with slies of strawberries. Sandwich with second piece of bread. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk, cream, salt, and vanilla extract. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating fully. Cook roughly 4 minutes on each side, until light golden brown. Serve immediately with powdered sugar and maple syrup.
