Foodtography School: a virtual food photography school designed to improve your food photography as both a skill and business in four weeks.

Guys, I have some really exciting news. After months of planning (and lets be real years of wanting to do this), I’m officially announcing that I’ve created an online food photography school. GAHHHH!

Foodtography School is a 4-week virtual course designed to improve your food photography equally as a skill and as a business. It’s a fast-pace, information packed course that will instantly change the way you photograph food.

I created this course because I get about 10 emails a week from people asking me questions about food photography. Things like “How do I take better compositions?” or “How do I become a wiz at Lightroom?” and even “How do I reach out to brands?!”

Well, my friends, this course answers all those questions and more.

Foodtography School is founded on the belief that food photography, like any other form of visual art, is inherently linked to strong composition and visual principles of design. In studying these topics, your food photography will transform into a still form of art. This course is meant for you if you’re a blogger, marketer, small business owner, or creative looking to take your food photos to the next level.

We have now gone through three rounds of “bootcamp”-style trainings with over 500 students to come up with the perfect food photography course. Through these initial rounds of Foodtography School, we were able to work out what people were the most interested in learning, what people struggle with the most when it comes to food photography, and how we could best communicate and teach budding food photographers in a supportive and nurturing environment.

So let’s talk timing. Each week for the next 4 weeks, you’ll have a dedicated lesson on one of four topics:

Composition
Light, Color, & Visual Branding
Social Media
and Marketing

These are pre-recorded, lecture-style videos chock full of information. The course material will be released over a 4 week schedule, but you will have lifetime access to the program, so you can take the course at your own pace now or in a few months!

In addition to class time, each week comes with an optional homework assignment to put what you learned that week into practice. Should you choose to do the homework assignment, you have the opportunity to submit it in our private Facebook group for group critique.

It’s also in this group where I do live monthly photo feedback calls to give students input on editing and styling.

I just love this aspect of our food photography school because it’s community-building and helps people to critically analyze their photos.

We also have some amazing bonuses that are worth the cost of the course alone. They include:
