You can probably tell from the name, but these rice krispie treats are loaded up with rainbow sprinkles and white chocolate chips. They couldn’t be more simple, but the addition of sprinkles and white chocolate takes your plain ol’ rice krispie treat recipe to a fun and festive treat that’s perfect for any occasion. Tips for the best white chocolate funfetti rice krispie treats

Rice krispie treats are one of the easiest desserts to make at home, but I like to consider myself somewhat of a rice krispie treats expert. These are my three fail proof tips for getting perfectly soft and gooey rice krispie treats every time.

  1. Don’t overcook the marshmallows. This is the worst mistake you can make when it comes to making rice krispie treats. If you cook the marshmallows for too long they’ll get SUPER sticky, which can make your bars almost painfully chewy (it will still be delicious, but it will give you a jaw workout
  2. Work quickly. The only tricky thing about marshmallow bars is that they can get sticky and hard to work with real fast if the melted marshmallows start to harden. I recommend working quickly so that it’s easy to fold everything together and get it into your pan!
  3. Don’t over mix the bars once you’ve added the sprinkles and chocolate: Sprinkles can break down into a a colorful mess and the white chocolate can melt too much if you stir your rice krispie treats too much. Only fold the mixture together until things are evenly distributed before transferring to your pan!
  4. Press extra chocolate chips and sprinkles on top of your bars: I like to press a few extra stir ins on top of the rice krispies solely for presentation purposes! But they are also tasty 🙂
