They say your bedroom is a sanctuary. If that’s the case, my sanctuary was a dump until about two weeks ago.
Since we moved into our apartment last year, our bedroom has felt like a total afterthought. Our bed frame was low to the ground and became nearly invisible against our white sheets and light grey walls. We had no rug because when Tilly was a puppy she had so many accidents that we had to throw it away. And our side tables were effectively stools I found on Etsy that I thought would look cute, but just ended up looking raggedy.
So every time I would walk into our bedroom, I would want to turn around immediately and walk right out.
Flash forward to last month. Article, this amazing amazing furniture company who I’ve worked with in the past asked me if I would do a review of their new line of bedroom furniture. When I got their email in my inbox I was like “um are you reading my mind?” It was exactly what I needed! Our bedroom was desperate for a refresh.
And don’t take my word for it, just look at the before photos for proof.
Now normally I’m not a fan of buying furniture without going to a physical store and being able to touch it, see it in person, and feel the quality of the materials. But we were so pleased with our dining table— the quality of the wood, the weight of it, and the overall look– that I immediately said yes to getting bedroom furniture from Article! And boy, was it a good decision.
The rug is so soft and so stunning, with a low pile that feels great on your feetsies. The headboard is so unique and makes a great statement without being overwhelming, and the nightstands have that minimalist mid-century look that I just love.
Everything is sturdy and well-crafted, and the price is surprisingly reasonable. Article cuts out the middle man with wholesaling and physical shops, opting for a direct-to-consumer model that keeps prices low and maximizes quality.
We couldn’t be more pleased with how things turned out, and I can confidently say that I never ever want to leave my bedroom!
