Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups chex cereal
- 5 cups golden grahams, divided
- 2 cups mini marshmallows, divided
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over low heat melt the peanut butter and 1 cup of the chocolate chips, reserving the other 1/2 cup of chocolate chips to stir into the muddy buddies at the end. Use a rubber spatula to stir the chocolate and peanut butter together until completely melted and smooth.
- Place the chex, 4 cups of the golden grahams, and 1 cup of the mini marshmallows into a gallon zip lock bag. Pour the chocolate, peanut butter mixture over the cereal.
- Seal the bag and shake the cereal and chocolate together to evenly coat all of the cereal.
- Add the powdered sugar and seal the bag, trying to keep a lot of air in it. Shake the bag around to evenly coat the cereal and marshmallows in powdered sugar.
- Last, stir in the remaining 1 cup of golden grahams, 1 cup mini marshmallows, and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. Devour! Keep in a sealed plastic bag for up to 2 weeks.
I can’t find a single thing wrong with this recipe other than the fact that I’m on a constant cycle of make, eat, repeat. It’s addictive. And it’s amazing.
Delicious! A few notes: I melted the peanut butter and chocolate in the microwave, 4 minutes at power level 4. 2. The plastic bag trick didn’t work for me. I finally scraped the whole mess into a 4 qt. Mixing bowl and tossed/folded the powdered sugar in with two spatulas. Next time I’ll melt the chocolate mixture in that bowl and fold in the other ingredients to save on cleanup. 3. One 11.7 oz box of golden grahams is just about enough for this recipe. Next time I will eliminate the Chex and use the whole box of golden grahams. It’s so good though!
I have experienced First wish online cake delivers at midnight for my friend’s birthday. I really want to say the best experience I have ever seen. I ordered in a very less span but they haven’t overcharged for that. They took the actual price.
I highly recommended it.
