Waking up on a sunday morning in a small apartment in the middle of New York City with seven twenty year olds can make for some pretty interesting morning conversation. This particular sunday we came together at our teeny tiny table for a wonderful breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes. Coupled with some homemade maple syrup from upstate NY, this meal was a wonderful way to start the day. A big thanks to our good friend Shakira for the recipe!

For the pancakes:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chocolate chips
Splash of water
In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Create a ditch in the center of the bowl and set aside. Whisk together eggs and butter and pour into dry ingredients. Add water until desired consistency is reached (the puffier the pancake, the less water needed!). Mix in chocolate chips. Be careful not to over mix!
Make sure your griddle is HOT and well-oiled. Pour pancakes onto griddle and serve immediately!
