Oh haaaay guys! It’s me with one more recipe just in time for the long weekend!
So here goes. Story is I’ve been making this Skinny Guacamole for years. It’s flavorful, creamy, and bright. And it tastes exactly like ‘normal’ guacamole. So much so that I’m like wait, what’s the point of regguhler ol’ guac?
Only this guac has a secret ingredient that makes it dramatically lighter and healthier. And the secret ingredient is…..
Yeah, seriously! By adding 1/2 cup of thick greek yogurt, it adds to the volume of the guac by a little over a third. Which means you can eat a third times more guac, right? 🙂
Continuing on this trend of healthier alternatives, I want to introduce you to Harvest Snaps. They’re a food company that makes snap pea crisps as a healthier option to chips*. They’re baked, gluten-free, lower in fat than potato chips, and contain about 5g of protein per serving. I became familiar with Harvest Snaps on a recent work trip, and it was truly love at first bite.
*oh my god, do you guys know how much this girl loves chips? It’s like…. so much. My sister even jokes that I should change my Instagram handle to “@ilovechips.”
So flash forward to me receiving a box of every single variety of Harvest Snaps. I proceeded to open every bag and make Alex try them all with me. After much deliberation, we found our personal favorite to be Wasabi Ranch.
But! For today’s recipe, I paired my Skinny Guac with the Black Bean Mango Chili Lime flavor. It was a perfect mix of flavors. So tropical! So bright!
This Skinny Guacamole would be an absolutely perfect healthy app at a summer cookout. Oh man, now I’m hungry. Story of my life.Print
