I know that Summer technically just started, but I already feel like it’s flying by. Once July starts its like a big somersault of beach weekends, rooftop drinks, and lots of ice cream. And before you know it, it’s September. What really snuck up on me this year was the 4th of July. And with the Fourth less than a week away, we rounded up our favorite red, white and blue 4th of July desserts for all your sweet needs. From Classic Cherry Pie, to S’mores inspired treats, we have every type of sweet you’l l need for your Fourth festivities.

2. Cherry Crumb Pie

Is there anything my more classically American than Cherry Pie? Me thinks not. This Cherry Crumble Pie is perfect for those in season July cherries and a real show stopper if you’re looking to just make one solid 4th of July dessert. Sandwiched between a flaky pie crust base and a scrumptious buttery crumble, you definitely won’t have any leftovers. Better yet, you can use fresh cherries if you want to go all out OR always have the option of frozen if you’re in a pinch!

I LOVE hand pies. If you’d never made them, don’t be intimidated. They’re so easy and the perfect bite sized treat. And these white chocolate and blueberry pies are simply divine. Make these star shaped White Chocolate Blueberry hand pies for your 4th of July dessert spread.

4. Strawberry Shortcake

4th of July Strawberry Shortcake

Ahh Strawberry Shortcake. Not only is this giant pull apart Strawberry Shortcake easy to make and delicious to eat, it also makes a festive centerpiece for your 4th of July festivities. If you won’t be serving it for awhile, you can make the biscuits ahead of time and serve strawberries and fresh whipped cream on the side. Throw some blueberries into the mix to make it a red, white, and blue treat. Easy peasy!

5. Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwiches

I remember vividly when my mom got this Williams Sonoma ice cream sandwich making machine.  They don’t even sell it anymore, but it was basically a circular mold that made a perfect sandwich every time. And dang it was good. We spent all summer eating exorbitant amounts of ice cream sandwiches from store bought cookie dough and gallons of different flavored ice cream.

Well these gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches are ten times better and so fun to make. Plus who doesn’t love a good chocolate chip cookie?

6. Triple Berry Meringue Roulade

Get allll your red, white, and blue in this this Triple Berry Meringue Roulade. Hello, blueberries, strawberries and blackberries. Fold those babies into a snow white meringue and you have a festive crowd pleaser.

7. White Chocolate Blueberry Oatmeal Cookies

These buttery cookies are the perfect casual treat to bring to a party, snack on at the beach, or whip together for a bash at your home. Studded with fresh blueberries and huge white chocolate chunks. Add in some fresh raspberries for an extra punch and munch on these all day long.

8. S’mores Brownies

S’mores are my absolute favorite dessert of all time. Crunchy graham crackers, melty chocolate and ooey gooey marshmallows. You know what else I love? BROWNIES. Plus, not all of us have the luxury of a bonfire on the fourth, so bring all that s’mores magic inside, marry it to a brownie, and make these to die for s’mores brownies.

Nothing says the Fourth like a drippy ice cream cone. We absolutely love this No Churn Blackberry Waffle Chocolate Chip Ice Cream for any day, but especially for a Summer celebration.

10. No Bake Cherry and Waffle Parfait

This No Bake Cherry and Waffle Parfait is a procrastinator’s dream. No bake,  effortless and ready in under 10 minutes, this is the perfect last minute dessert for the Fourth of July. 11. Bumbleberry Pie

I’m pretty sure the 4th of July is also just a big pie celebration. I don’t know, maybe that’s just me, but aside from Thanksgiving, I’d say it’s pie’s biggest shining moment. So let’s celebrate freedom and pie this year with this Bumbleberry Summer Pie with a crust so flaky you won’t believe your taste buds.
