Ginger beer floats made spiked with spice rum make for perfect game day drinks!
Now that the Patriots are out of the Superbowl on Sunday, all I’m thinking about is the food. I’m planning for at least one buffalo chicken cheesy dip, two pizzas, twelve IPAs, and these everything pretzel bites with beer & cheddar dip.
Dessert often falls by the wayside on Superbowl Sunday, but not in my house. Take my chocolate stout cupcakes, for example. I mean, how can you throw a proper game day party without them?
New on this year’s menu are these boozy ginger beer floats. They’re made with spiced rum, fizzy ginger beer, lime, and vanilla ice cream.Â
They’re perfect for a crowd and require minimal effort, so you can the oven for chicken wings and seven layer dip.
Plus, they’re boozy. Which is always a win in my book.
I’ll be celebrating with Alex in Michigan, then it’s off to Chicago to do some work with my girl Ambitious Kitchen, then back to Michigan again for Valentine’s Day.
It’s been a whirlwind of a week so far… did I tell you guys I’m in Quebec on a maple press trip? Yeah. It’s incredible. I can’t wait to share the post with you all!
OK, off to cocktails made by a Maple Master. Mmmm.

Oh dear god this looks amazing – so tasty and beautiful. My Dad used to make me ice cream floats with tizer all the time. I have never had an actual boozy one though.
HECK YES to this boozy float! I haven’t had an ice cream float in a loooong time, and this is definitely getting my creative juices going. Have a great trip!

Loving this! Ginger Ale floats were my favourite when I was young. This is like a grown-up version 🙂
